About NSBCSB
This event aims to provide an exposure to the students and early career faculty members about the recent advances in various research directions of Bioinformatics, e.g. mathematical modeling for systems biology, interaction networks, metagenomics, metabolomics, next generation sequencing, synthetic biology etc. As Bioinformatics and Computational Biology is a highly interdisciplinary subject, students pursuing their degrees in other streams of Sciences will also be benefited by attending the talks and discussions of this event. About Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala:
Central University of Himachal Pradesh is established under the Central Universities Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) enacted by the Parliament. The University is funded and regulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and became functional with the assumption of charge by the first Vice Chancellor on 20th January 2010. In CUHP, at present 19 departments and 2 Centres are in operation under 11 schools that are functional. Since 2011, CUHP is offering MSc and PhD programs in the Computational Biology and Bioinformatics discipline in the Centre for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics that is currently the only operational unit of School of Life Sciences.

About NNMCB:
NNMCB is a National Network for Mathematical and Computational Biology funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The primary objective of this initiative is to promote research activities and provide training in mathematical and computational biology throughout India. This network has seven nodes spread across India: Bangalore (principal node), Chennai, Delhi, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mohali and Pune. This symposium is being organized in collaboration with Mohali node of NNMCB.
